Wider Reading/Research/Work Experience Preparation

 

Begin reading widely around your subject area, conducting independent research, and securing relevant work experience to enhance your application.

Existing Student Interviews Commence: January 2026 

After submitting your application, an interview will be scheduled. Interviews typically cover academic goals, subject choices, and your motivation for joining Avanti House Sixth Form.

Deadline for Applications: Friday 13 February 2026 

Ensure your application is submitted by this date to be considered for admission. Late applications may not be accepted, so it's important to complete and submit applications on time.

Sixth Form Offers: Two Weeks from interview date

After your interview, you will receive a conditional offer within 2 weeks, provided all criteria are met. The offer will be based on your interview performance and predicted grades.

Prospective Student Interviews Saturday 7 March 2026

Prospective students will be interviewed by senior members of the leadership team alongside Heads of Department.

Sixth Form Experience Day: Monday 29 June 2026

During this time, you'll also participate in a Taster Day for your chosen A-level subjects, where you can attend sample lessons, engage with course material, and confirm or adjust your subject choices before finalising them.

GCSE Results Day: Thursday 20 August 2026 

On this day, your GCSE results will be available. All Avanti House students meeting the entry criteria will accept their offer and confirm their subjects.

Offer Acceptance: Thursday 20 August and Friday 21 August 2026

Prospective students must bring their GCSE results and identification, and all students will be asked to confirm their subject choices on the day.

Timetabling and Start of Term September 2026

In September you will start your journey in the Sixth Form. This will start with receiving your personalised timetable. This will include your class schedule, study periods, and any super-curricular commitments. Lessons will commence in the afternoon of the first day. It's important to attend all sessions from the start to ensure a smooth transition into your A-level studies and set the foundation for a successful term ahead.
