RELIGIOUS STUDIES

Level: A Level

Examination board: EDUCAS

Specification: A Level

CURRICULUM INTENT / VISION STATEMENT

The Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics (PRE) curriculum cultivates the whole person through spiritual insight, character formation, and educational excellence. Grounded in the Avanti Way, our vision is to inspire students to go deep, grow strong, and give back. Through Philosophy, we pursue educational excellence, encouraging students to explore life's big questions with an open mind, and use this intellectual curiosity to develop the skills to serve a higher purpose. Through Religion, we nurture spiritual insight, taking students on a journey of self-discovery, fostering humility, love, and a sense of interconnectedness with all living beings and divinity. Through Ethics, we focus on character formation, shaping conscious changemakers who embody virtues and think critically. Our aim is to equip students with the tools to lead meaningful, joyful lives, and make a positive impact in the world.
